Hello! My name is Yesenia Lopez-Pereira, Mental Health Therapist creating space where individuals can truly feel seen and understood, a space for healing, honoring culture, and life experiences.

My goal is to help others break free from generational cycles of trauma, reconnect with their inner child, and finding a path to self-love and resilience. My journey as a therapist is deeply personal, shaped by my own experience as an immigrant. Coming to the U.S. as a child, I faced the challenges of growing up between two worlds—trying to adapt to a new culture while staying connected to my roots. Like many first-generation immigrants, I navigated the pressures of fitting in, identity struggles, and the complexities of family life in a new country. These experiences fuel my passion for helping others who are on a similar path.

As a former DACA recipient, I understand firsthand the benefits it provided, as well as, its risks and unique challenges. I can relate to the journey toward obtaining a green card, as well as the experiences of those using Advanced Parole. One of the most meaningful moments in my life was returning to Mexico after 25 years. Reconnecting with my roots was an emotional experience, one that helped me embrace both the person I’ve become and where I come from, rediscovering how deeply our cultural ties shape us, even when we’re far from home. This path has deepened my passion for helping others through their own journeys.

I specialize in trauma therapy and have spent over 6 years working with children, adolescents, and adults, particularly those from immigrant, BIPOC, and first-generation backgrounds.  As a woman myself, I advocate for women’s rights and support those navigating reproductive health and access to abortion. I believe in empowering women to make informed choices about their bodies and futures.

My personal experiences drive my passion for the work I do today. As a bilingual therapist, I’m dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health, offering support during their toughest moments—whether healing from generational trauma, addressing identity struggles, processing emotional pain, or discussing reproductive health.

We all carry stories, and I’m here to help you turn your challenges into strengths and your pain into healing.
